Since 1954 the Niagara Falls Camera Club has been meeting for interested persons to learn, enjoy, discuss and explore photography. In August of 2023 we changed our name to the Niagara Association of Photographic Art (NAPA) to recognize our growing focus on the Art of Photography and not the equipment to capture the images. Through monthly programs which include workshops, seminars, Zoom presentations with professional photographers and monthly competitions with in person judges, we have been providing Niagara residents with a way to enjoy photography for years.
Henry’s shares our vision of photography and as the premier camera store in Niagara, we are happy to welcome Henry’s guests to NAPA.
Mostly amateur photographers at all skill levels, from beginner to master make up the majority of the group’s members and they enjoy exchanging photos and learning from one another.
If you’re interested in digital photography or want to learn how to use your new camera or equipment, we invite you to attend our meetings or photo outings and discover what we’re all about

Competitions at the Niagara Association of Photographic Art are a great way to learn and improve your photography.
Member images are presented as either a digitally projected image or as a print and are judged by a photographer who is not a member of our club. The judge will provide constructive feedback on how the images could have been improved and then score the image (we use a scoring system where images are scored 9-15).
Members are NOT required to participate in competitions. The emphasis on the competition is to improve the skills of our photographers. By viewing your images, or other members’ images and taking in the judges comments, we have the opportunity to improve our own work.
NAPA organizes club outings through the year. This year we have had outings to Pillitteri Winery, Grist Restaurant, Bird Kingdom, Niagara Falls Floral Showcase, Niagara Parks Power Station, TASC Tulip Farm, Royal Botanical Gardens and more. Scheduled outings include a trip to the Bruce Peninsula (Tobermory), Painted Ladies Gingerbread Homes in Grimsby Beach, the Battle of Stoney Creek and more are still being planned.
Some images from our recent outings are shown below.
Membership is required to participate in Niagara Falls Camera Club activities and we invite prospective guests to try out the club for a few meetings.
Individual Member – $60
Two adult members considered spouses – $100
